Temperatures are soaring these days in inland Mendocino County, and if you’re not lounging around a lake, area casinos are great places to cool off.

Family Plan Prize Bingo At Memorial Event

A family is planning to hold prize bingo games and other activities at a fundraising event in memory of their daughter.Denise Molloy and her husband Martin are working to stage an event in memory of Lauren Dixon, who passed away recently after having a heart transplant operation, the Blackpool Gazette reported.The 22-year-old had been planning to hold an event on July 31st 2011 to mark the first anniversary of receiving her new organ, a date which her step-dad said was like a first birthday to her as it gave her a new lease of life.Instead, they are planning to go ahead with her ideas and stage a fun day which will be in her memory, as well as raising funds for the New Start Charity, which is based in the Wythenshawe Hospital, where she was treated.
