Steel Panther – grungy counter-point to the uber glam nature of Las Vegas Strip
The Main Event of the WSOP is underway and its been a great week here for PartyPoker. The PP qualifiers are all in town and weve been enjoying lots of what Vegas has to offer.
A few days ago a group of us headed to Mandalay Bay to see Steel Panther, an incredible 80s hair band with a Spinal Tap twist and a serious edge!
Theyre well known for pushing a lot of boundaries as they play on the stereotypes of the degenerate rockers. From their long, hairspray laden locks to their tight leather trousers, they put on a great show and its definitely entertaining! Its a good, grungy counter-point to the uber glam nature of the Las Vegas Strip.
This weekend, Party had another little get together and this time, it couldnt have been more glamorous. We had a cabana at the hot new Day Club pool for Marquee at the Cosmopolitan. The servers there are gorgeous, the DJ was on fire, the surroundings are incredible and each Cabana got its own little infinity pool to cool off in. It was the perfect way to spend a few hours relaxing in the sunshine and catching up with everyone.
Tonight is the PartyPoker welcome party at a nightclub on the Strip. Its being held in an outdoor space which I really love. Once the sun goes down in Vegas, the heat tapers off and being outside is absolutely gorgeous. Well all be putting on our best dresses and following the sound of the DJ to the bar see you there!
