Many Bingo Players Would Play On Their Mobile
More than one-third of the Brits who love to play bingo games who were polled in a recent Bingoport.co.uk survey revealed that they would play bingo for money through their mobile phones. The study found that 47 per cent of respondents had a handset with access to the internet.Android-enabled devices were by far the most popular, accounting for 65 per cent of the gadgets. However, BlackBerrys and iPhones were far less popular, with only 19 per cent and 16 per cent respectively owning phones made by these manufacturers, which may suggest that online bingo providers may tailor future offerings to Android devices.”Bingo players are not adverse to the idea of playing slots on their mobile phones either, with 30 per cent saying they would play mobile slots for real money,” the online bingo firm revealed.Earlier this month, research by IHS Screen Digest found that in 2010, mobile gambling, for example playing on bingo slot machines, generated £41 million in revenue. This was more than twice the amount brought in over the course of 2009, when the industry collected £19 million in revenue from this source.
