Taking part in bingo games could be a good way for fans to raise money for local organisations.
A community group in Abbotsbury is using bingo with the intention of increasing the funds they have to spend, while also offering an evening of entertainment for local people.
The people behind Strangeways Hall informed the Dorset Echo they are planning to hold some bingo games to increase their kitty.
It sounds like this may not be the first time the group has organised such an event, as the newspaper describes its representative Mary Bridle as being the “tireless village fundraiser”.
People in the area who want to get involved with the fun and help the organisation to pick up some additional funding have been advised to get to the Hall by 19:00 BST on Friday April 8th 2011.
It will be eyes down at 19:30, so players need to be sure they are not late and miss out on some of the action.
Bingo can be a great way for an organisation to celebrate a big event, as the Kenilworth Sports and Social Club recently held a weekend of activity and games, such as bingo, fireworks and a disco, to celebrate its centenary.

Viktor “Isildur1″ Blom played three massive sessions of high stakes online poker over the past few nights, each consisting of thousands of hands. His first and second sessions of the run rewarded him with wins of $620k and $495k, respectively, with most of the earnings coming from his Maryland-based nemesis, Scott “urnotindangr” Palmer.
His most recent session, however, was not as fortunate. Blom took on several of the biggest high stakes grinders on PokerStars, including LuckyGump, compris and gavz101, is sessions of $100 / $200 stake level PLO. After 4
